The Association of Ohio Life Insurance Companies (AOLIC) represents life insurance companies before the Ohio General Assembly, the Governor’s office, the Ohio Department of Insurance and other executive agencies. Members offer life, long-term care and disability income insurance, as well as annuities and other retirement products. We represent Ohio-based life insurers and other insurers doing a significant amount of business in the state.

For more than 50 years, AOLIC has served as the voice of the life insurance industry before the Ohio General Assembly and the executive branch of state government.
AOLIC serves as a resource to legislators and others in government as they consider legislative and regulatory issues affecting the insurance industry in Ohio. We provide testimony and written analysis and comment on pending legislation and rules that affect insurers.
The Association has a thorough understanding of the insurance business and of Ohio laws regulating the insurance industry; legislators frequently call on AOLIC for background information about the insurance industry and its products.
